Your school may offer late testing for certain circumstances

If you have an extreme circumstance that prevents you from taking the AP Exam on the regularly scheduled exam date — for example, if you wish to take exams that are scheduled for the same time slot or if you have a serious illness — check with your AP coordinator if your school offers the option to take an alternate exam during the late-testing period.

It is up to each school to determine whether they will offer the option of late-testing for their students.

Please note the following if you are approved to take a late-testing exam:

  • Your scores may be delayed.
  • Your free-response booklets will not be available.
  • Depending on your reason for late testing, you may be required to pay an additional $45 per exam late-testing fee.
