Your school may offer late testing for certain circumstances.

If you have an extreme circumstance that prevents you from taking the AP Exam on the regularly scheduled exam date — for example, if you want to take exams that are scheduled for the same time slot or if you have a serious illness — check with your AP coordinator if your school offers the option to take an alternate exam during the late-testing period.

It is up to each school to determine whether they will offer the option of late testing for their students.

Please note the following if you are approved to take a late-testing exam:

  • Your scores may be delayed.
  • Your free-response booklets will not be available.
  • Depending on your reason for late testing, you may be required to pay an additional $45 per exam late-testing fee.
